"I'm a human raised by elves."

I hope you are cozied up wherever you are in the world, with your family and friends.  I hope that just for the next few days that we can all just breath deep and no matter what our philosophical or religious beliefs we feel a sense of peace and contentment.  

There has been so much fear and sadness the past few weeks.  I know we all feel it.  But you know as a student of history, I know that even though it seems (from tv) the world is scarier and more dangerous than ever before, it isn't true.  The world is more connected and more humane than ever in our history.  We have the ability to create more abundance than ever before.  We have the ability to make huge changes throughout the world and in our communities.  We can make a difference.  I am so filled with hope despite the bad news that is recycled over and over every day.  I refuse to believe it.  I believe in beauty, kindness,  abundance, and love.  Those are real.
