"I just like to smile, smiling's my favorite."

Love this photo so much.  You can't tell by the angle of this photo but my son Conner is at least 6 inches taller than me.  It's pretty sweet to have to reach up and give him a hug.

Being a mom to teenagers is something that came as a surprise to me.  Luckily we change and grow so slowly over a period of years, and many of the changes happen so gradually but still, it feels like I woke up one day and BAM, there were these two men in my house.  They are taller than me and have these low, manly voices.  It is strange and wonderful.

They argue and are moody some days.  They leave there socks about and complain when they have to do chores.  They don't like when I say things that embarrass them, about girls or sex.

They are also so interesting, and smart about the world.  They have things to say and opinions and ideas that both thrill and frighten me a little.  (in a good way)  They are awesome.

It is a beautiful photo. I feel like I've written similar things myself. I only have one teen, and one still pretty little (10).

AAwww ~ it is a sweet photo. It makes me miss those boys so much. Those rainboots, the colanders on the head, crystal hunting on the hill. You made me cry again:) Its a good cry - a happy cry. Thank God I still have crazy little Pearson - he will forever be 6 years old in my book.

OMG... I love it. What a great photo... & your glasses are so cute! Love the animal print! So cute that he's taller than you, too. Bryn is wearing the same shoe size as me (an 8, which I think is huge for a 10-yr old) & will be passing me up in height any day now. Could be because Bob is exactly 1-foot taller than me...

What a beautiful photo!
It gives me new insight, because those are the kinds of things Mum says to me. it's nice to see it in written word.
Crazy how quickly things change and people grow up!
